The message of Al-Islam is for all people and in our current location we are unable to address the attainable needs of our community. 

Due to our current circumstances of renting a space located on the 3rd floor walk-up of the Cuzzi building, physically challenged individuals including our pioneers and elders who want to come out for daily obligatory prayers, Ju’mah worship, Islamic studies, weekly wellness programs and other activities have been greatly inconvenienced and deprived of communal strength and religious comradery.

We searching for a more suitable space to house Yusuf Shah Islamic Center which will allow us a more permanent place of comfort with an entrance on the first floor and ample space to continue serving the citizens of Mount Vernon and the surrounding areas. 
Among the plans we are hoping to institute are a weekend school, a selective product variety store, a mental health outreach program and a senior center in addition to our place of worship. Some of the programs we have already implemented include weekly hot food giveaway, quarterly non-perishable food boxes, Qurbani meat and Halal turkeys. Although we have been utilizing various means and methods of fundraising to relocate, we have not been able to reach our goal yet. We’re counting on your support.
